Ever since Riverdance exploded on TV screens all over the word, during the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, millions of people in different countries have been fascinated by Irish dancing.
But in 2017, “Lord of the Dance, Dangerous games” show is produced, choreographed and directed in a totally innovative way, featuring new staging, cutting edge technology, new costumes and choreography, world champion acrobats and 40 of the world’s most outstanding young performers.
And after standing ovations all over Europe, Asia, and Northamerica, the iconic Irish dance spectacle arrives to León, Guanajuato.
Created by Michael Flatley, this top class entertainment event will take place at Leon’s Poliforum on Friday February 17, 2017, with more than 60 dancers on stage, a group of bagpiper along with electric guitars, electronic special effects and multicolored lighting system.
Flatley is considered one of the best dancers in the world, with a unique and avant-garde style, based on the traditional Irish dance. It was back in 1994, when he stunned the world with a memorable choreography during the Eurovision Song Contest in Belfast.
From that moment on, the swiftness of his steps highlighted the elegance and strength of the Irish traditional dance, coupled with the music written by Will Whelan for the world famous “Riverdance”.
This show marked the retirement of Flatley from the stage, but not from choreography nor direction.
