Elvis’ hips and Michael’s feet. Bruno Mars is considered one of the most important music stars today and is returning to México in 2018, reported “El Universal”.

Born under the name Peter Gene Hernandez, in Honolulu, Hawaii, son of a Puerto Rican father and Filipino mother, he devoted his childhood to perfecting his moonwalk and imitating reggae king Bob Marley. Mars’s artistic name was inspired on star Bruno Sanmartino, an Italian wrestler, idol of Mars’s father.

Mars’ young, unconcerned gangster style also captured the Mexican audience. The concert that took place in 2014 left thousands of satisfied fans. That time he had to open two more dates because of the high ticket demand.

Bruno was the headliner of Super Bowl 48 halftime show, which was held on February 2, 2014, at MetLife Stadium, located in the city of East Rutherford, New Jersey. The American singer-songwriter was in charge of leading the performance, counting also with the band Red Hot Chili Peppers as special guests. The list of songs was composed of two tracks from Mars’ albums Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Unorthodox Jukebox, as well as his collaboration “Billionaire”, performed by a children’s choir as well as the song “Give It Away” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

That Mars’ performance was seen by more than 115.3 million people in the United States, which was, at the time, the most-watched program in the country’s history, breaking the record imposed by Madonna with her show offered two years earlier. Mars’ performance received two nominations for the Emmy Awards.

Two years later, in 2016, Mars performed once again at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, only this time, he did it as a guest along with Coldplay and Beyonce.

Grammy winner and world-famous multi-platinum artist, singer, producer, director and musician, the Hawaiian wants to conquer Mexicans all over again, and therefore he will offer concerts in the main cities of the country. The prodigal music son of the United States announced that he will return to our country in 2018 as part of his 24K Magic World Tour. The magic will arrive at Estadio Universitario in Monterrey on January 31st, and later at Foro Sol in Mexico City with two dates: February 2 and 3; finally, on February 5 at Estadio Chivas, in Guadalajara.
