“Two hundred and eighty six thousand tourists are expected to visit the state of Querétaro during the summer vacation this year (from July 18 to August 21)”, informed the State’s Secretary of Tourism, Hugo Burgos Garcia.
Through a statement, the Secretariat mentioned: “With those visits, we will reach 60% of hotel occupancy, generating an economic impact of $480 million of pesos (26 million USD).
Burgos also said: “Among the favourite must-visit places are the capital of the state, Querétaro that is traditionally the most visited, and other cities such as San Juan del Río; but also other attractions such as the archaeological site of Toluquilla on the region known as the “Sierra Gorda de Queretaro“.
The official also highlighted the growth and popularity of the Magical Towns (Pueblos Mágicos) of San Joaquín and Bernal.
“The most important thing is that tourism continues to be one of the most important sectors in Querétaro and the country,” Hugo Burgos concluded.
