The aerospace industry in Mexico experienced a growth of almost 11% compared to the first quarter last year, and is the most productive industrial sector in Querétaro, a trend that will continue throughout this year.
A few days before the seventh edition of the Mexico’s Aerospace Summit 2017, on August 30 and 31, organizers of the event said in a statement that the summit has played an key role in Queretaro’s economic growth.
According to the Secretary of Economy, from 2005 to 2017 Querétaro registered an income of 980.4 million US dollars from companies dedicated to the manufacture of aerospace equipment.
So far this year, six aerospace projects have been completed, representing a total investment of 933,450 million pesos, mainly coming from countries such as Canada, France and the United States.
The attendees will have access to knowledge related to manufacturers’ original equipment, B2B meetings, visits to production plants, and interaction with the aerospace industry plant managers.
According to summit organizer Sergio Ornelas Ramírez, the event is expected to grow 10% this year, in number of visitors and participating companies.
The Aerospace Summit in Mexico is aimed at investors interested in the sector, specialists, general managers, as well as representatives of companies in the aerospace and components industry, among others.
