When children discover the pleasures of reading, they read more, their world expands, they learn to love books.
The Literary Sala’s Libros para Todos (Books for All) project reaches almost 1000 children and youth with reading appreciation projects and a mobile library.
When a famous author comes to visit, we buy hundreds of copies of that author’s book, so each child can own his or her own copy and have it signed by the author. You can’t imagine the thrill!

Libros para Todos seeks to develop a new generation of readers in Mexico, with a focus on children and young adults.
Each year, LPT selects an author, and distributes free copies of one or more of the author’s books to hundreds of children at participating schools. The children read the books during the months of September and October.
In November, the author visits the schools and gives the children a chance to ask questions and learn about the author firsthand.
During the spring, the principals and teachers from participating schools are invited to attend workshops aimed at imparting effective methods of teaching literature to children.
