From Apriil Thursday 26 to Sunday May 6, an international golf tournament will take place in the spectacular course of Ventanas de San Miguel. In the third stage of the Banorte Golf Tour (GGPB) 84 golfers will play, 17 of them from six different countries plus 67 Mexicans.
Mexicans Andrés García (2017) and Gonzalo Rubio (2018) who have already won the GGPB before will have participation. However they have never win a tournament in Ventanas San Miguel and therefore whoever wins the competition will do it for the first time in this magnficent course designed by the English golf legend Nick Faldo, champion of six ‘Major PGA Tournaments’.
Seven Americans, six Colombians, one Argentinian, one Guatemalan, one Italian and one more player from Panama are registered. Among the Mexican players there are five of the 15 best positioned in the 2018-2019 ranking of the GGPB.
The design of Ventanas de San Miguel was the work of Englishman Nick Faldo, one of the most renowned golfers in the history of the sport. He already retired from the tournaments and is currently applying his expertise in a successful designing career. Faldo has won 6 Majors’, three British Opens and three Masters.
