On May 26, the Magic Town of Jalpa de Cánovas located on the municipality of Purísima del Rincón, launched a Video Mapping last night that in 7 minutes tells the historical and cultural attributes, gastronomy and traditions of the Magic Town.
On behalf of the Governor Miguel Márquez Márquez, Fernando Olivera Rocha, Secretary of Tourism of the state of Guanajuato, inaugurated the video-mapping show that is projected on the Parish of the Lord of Mercy, icon of this wonderful Magical Town.
With this project, which includes state-of-the-art software, historical research, graphic design and musical production, “the tourist offer of the beautiful Jalpa de Cánovas is consolidated, thus generating an additional attraction for this area of the state” said Olivera Rocha.
He also explained that “this video mapping is the sixth in the Historic Centers of the state of Guanajuato, the Cultural Destination of Mexico, the other 5 are Dolores Hidalgo, Yuriria, Salvatierra, Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende.”
Residents, visitors and tourists, were surprised with the projection in bright colors that brings a new attraction to the beautiful town of Jalpa de Cánovas, which was designated Magic Town by the Federal Tourism Secretariat on December 20, 2012.
This project is strengthened with the 6th stage of the urban remodeling work currently ongoing in Jalpa de Cánovas.
Street rehabilitation, new pavement on roads and sidewalks, new park benches, led lamps, ducts for underground wiring and fiber optics, new water and drainage networks infrastructure, new sanitary and rain drainage networks, are part of the improvements.
“With these works the quality of life of locals is improved and the tourist offer is strengthen in this area of the state,” concluded the Tourism Secretary.
