Merchants and tourists from all around the world enjoyed great flavors that were exhibited and served during the 8th Festival of Mezcal and Lamb, an event where participants also enjoyed an excellent musical repertoire and regional wines.
The 8th edition of the Festival of Mezcal and the Lamb was held at the Hotel Casa de Aves, and was attended by Paolo Bizzotto president of Canirac, delegation San Miguel de Allende; Francisco Gabriel Chavez, president of the tourist council; and Mr. Gonzalo González, interim president of San Miguel de Allende, who tasted each of the dishes made by chefs who are nationally and internationally distinguished for their unique way to cook lamb meat.
In his speech the Secretary of Tourism Fernando Olivera, said that with the distinguished flavors offered by the chefs, this festival is already consolidated and shows the attendance of such well-known personalities in the gastronomic tourism field.
San Miguel de Allende, in addition to its admirable architecture, is also acknowledged nationally and internationally for its cuisine and enology.
Attendees tasted lamb cooked in different ways and presented at more than 30 stands, by excellent chefs of restaurants affiliated with Canirac.
They also had the pleasure of tasting the products of well known mezcaleras that offered their exquisite distillates, such as the mezcalería El Zacatecano.
There were also raffles, artisan beer, regional wines, a DJ and more.
