President Andrés Manuel López Obrador arrived to his native Tabasco on Dec. 31st, for the protest ceremony of the elected governor Adán Augusto López Hernández.
During his arrival to the state capital Villahermosa, dozens of people awaited him as he went to the State Congress building, where the political event took place.
However, his reception caused riots among a group of protesters who shouted slogans and demanded justice for the case of former governor Arturo Núñez.
In a video that went viral on social networks, the voice of the woman who is recording the event with her cell phone can be heard criticizing the armored car and the security team with which AMLO arrived to his home state. You can also hear expressions like “Do not be afraid of Tabasco”, “Do not be a coward”, and “Prison for Núñez”.

The voice of the woman can be heard (with a heavy Tabasco accent, just like AMLO’s) saying: “” Get off the car as you used to do. Are you afraid of your own countrymen? We are your people. You are a coward. You don’t have balls! This is how the president is entering his own state, totally armored, deceiving the people of Tabasco. “”
