2 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Miguel de Allende

According to the message sent by the mayor of San Miguel de Allende, Luis Alberto Villarreal, the Guanajuato Health Secretariat established a sanitary fence since Wednesday, April 1, around the municipality of SMA, to control the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic to spread even more.

“The Guanajuato Health Secretariat @SaludGuanajuato has reported the 2nd confirmed case of contagion by # COVID19 in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende. Despite the measures taken, we must do more. Take care of yourself and others. Stay at home.” said mayor Luis Alberto Villarreal.

Of the 49 positive cases of coronavirus registered in the state of Guanajuato, eight are hospitalized but stable, the rest continue outpatient treatment at home. This was explained by the Secretary of Health, Daniel Díaz Martínez.

“We also anticipate that we would have community transmission and we must limit local contagion in Guanajuato, it is time to increase measures in our family ”, declared Daniel Díaz Martínez, Guanajuato State Secretary of Health.
