Its architecture is inspired by the famous monument of India

A “migrant” Taj Mahal

It was inaugurated on 28 December of 2014 and is the work of the architect José Ignacio, who edify required for voluntary contributions that migrants sent, why construction took 11 years.

Its finishes are from quarry from Tlalpujahua ( Michoacán ), so its construction was extremely expensive. In addition, it has a similar pattern to the Taj Mahal in terms of its finishes and architecture of IslamicPersianIndian, and Turkish type.

Its magnificence has made this temple one of the wonders of Guanajuato, surprising locals and strangers for its beauty and resemblance to the emblematic construction of India.

The original temple was in another part of the town, but it was demolished and later built on the current property that belonged to Francisco Uribe, who inherited it to his daughters to be built there.
