San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato (Feb. 20, 2021).- Civil Protection personnel went to the community of San Lucas to suspend a local party that was taking place despite the risk involved in the agglomeration of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, the assistants not only ignored but also attacked the Civil Protection agents.
Through an anonymous report to the 911 Emergency Number, it was notified about this event, immediately personnel from the Municipal Police, Civil Protection, and government inspectors arrived in the community where they corroborated that in fact, a party with hundreds of people was taking place there without complying with the corresponding health provisions.
About 300 people were gathered there, in addition to a musical group that would be presented later. The authorities asked the attendees to leave the place, however, they took a reluctant behavior and began to intimidate the public servants, who had to leave the site to safeguard their physical integrity.
SMA authorities make a call on the population is to respect health measures, act with responsibility and solidarity to avoid the accelerated growth of deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
