The municipal administration of San Miguel de Allende, serves the community of migrants from Guanajuato who worked in the United States and seek to process their US pension, this is part of the social policy of the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo.
In coordination with the Secretariat for Migrants and International Liaison (SMEI), in San Miguel de Allende applications are received from people from San Miguel and from the other 45 municipalities of Guanajuato, who, having worked in United States territory or being relatives of these, can process the Pension for American Social Security.
That is why the invitation continues until next Friday, May 26, so that the workers, wives, and widows of Guanajuato can approach, to know the requirements and to be eligible for a Retirement Pension, Pension for Dependents, or Pension for Survivors of the Government of the United States of America (USA).
Where are the countrymen served?
If you are interested in carrying out this procedure, you must go to the municipal liaison office with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), through the Passport area, located in the municipal administrative building. Here the corresponding documentation is still received and personalized advice is provided, to facilitate your interview before the American Consulate.
For better attention, in response to the requests made, and because they are generally economic benefits, it will be the Federal Benefits office of the United States Embassy, which will respond next month to each of the applicants.
In addition, as the process progresses, applicants may be received in the capital of Guanajuato , to prevent them from traveling to Mexico City to continue the process.
Serving the migrant community, the municipal administration continues to be an effective link with other government instances, so that the people of San Miguel de Allende live better every day.
