The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit authorized the creation of the Mexican State airline, which will be in charge of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena).

The decree was published this Thursday in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), which explains that 990,000 were approved for this year’s fiscal year, for the company to be established.

The remaining 10,000 pesos will be provided by the National Bank of the Army, Air Force and Navy, as a minority shareholder.

Said airline may carry out “all the necessary actions to promote, operate and provide the public service of regular, national and international air transport of passengers, cargo, mail or a combination of these, on its own account or through public or private persons.”
