Great results in tourism were obtained during the last weekend of 2023 in San Miguel de Allende as an important economic benefit was generated due to the unity between various sectors of the population and the Municipal Government.
Thanks to San Miguel de Allende ‘s strategy of positioning itself as the best destination to visit at the end of the year , there was a great tourist response also due to the program of activities prepared by the San Miguel municipality during the last weekend of 2023.
San Miguel de Allende dazzled visitors at the end of the 2023 year where it showed in its maximum splendor the cosmopolitan essence that characterizes this World Heritage City as the perfect place to spend good times with the family because its benefits made it very It is a pleasant stay for visitors who came to celebrate the New Year 2024 , which left the city with an economic benefit of more than 600 million pesos.
In this regard, Tania Castillo de la Peña , director of Economic Development and Tourism of San Miguel de Allende, said that the objective was met given the expectations.
During the closing of 2023, more than 150,000 people from Mexico and abroad visited San Miguel de Allende who enjoyed the magic, color, gastronomy, culture, hospitality and the attributes of the Best Small City in the World that caused the family union that was the guideline, to receive and start 2024 in the best way.
Regarding hotel and restaurant occupancy, the goal that had been set in 2023 was met, as it was more than 98 percent, proving that San Miguel de Allende was the preferred destination to visit.
After a good closing of 2023, the Government of San Miguel de Allende continues to position the city as one of the ideal places to visit in 2024.
