March of 8M in CDMX has the highest attendance in years. This is how many women attended the event
Last year the capital authorities reported that more than 90 thousand people participated in the protest.
The Secretary of Citizen Security, Pablo Vázquez Camacho, reported that on Friday, March 8th, more than 180 thousand people, mainly women and girls, protested in Mexico City as part of the commemoration of International Women’s Day.

For more than 8 hours, over 180 thousand women gathered at the demonstration in downtown Mexico City, the busiest march of this type in recent years. The vast majority of activities were developed and concluded peacefully. With dialogue and inclusion, we guarantee the free exercise of rights and the safety of the people who live and transit the streets of CDMX.
On his social networks, the official stated that this was the busiest protest in recent years.
