The Mexican publishing house Alcaldes de México awarded the city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, the distinction of “Best Municipality in Mexico with Actions in favor of Tourism.”
The decoration was awarded in the 14th delivery of the Award for Best Local Government Practices “for the tourism merits obtained together with local tourism service providers and after achieving recognition as Best Small City in the World and Best Gastronomic Destination in Mexico.” .
This recognition is considered a national benchmark of quality in the work of city councils in Mexico; Those who are exemplary in their public service practices are distinguished and serve as an example for municipal administrations throughout the country.
This is not the first time that San Miguel de Allende – a city classified as a cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO – has been honored by Mayors of Mexico, since in 2022 it also received the award as the Best Municipality in Mexico for Water Manager.
This, to recover the liquid for the people of San Miguel, take advantage of it to achieve supply to the general population and develop efficient projects to expand distribution to more neighborhoods and rural communities in the demarcation.
