A man was arrested and linked to criminal proceedings for firing a firearm at officers of the San Miguel de Allende Municipal Police.
According to an investigation by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guanajuato, on July 4, a man identified as Juan Jesús N was traveling aboard an ATV through the streets of San Miguel de Allende.
Therefore, upon seeing his suspicious attitude, agents stopped him; however, the man ignored them and accelerated to escape through the streets of the San Rafael neighborhood.
During the chase, the accused pulled out a gun and shot twice at the uniformed officers, who detained him on Guadalupe Avenue, when he lost control of the ATV and was thrown against the asphalt, where the police officers arrested him, and seized the firearm along with ammo.
