For more than 30 years, ‘El Güero Yorch’ has been offering delicious tortas to San Miguel residents in a shop located near the Ignacio Ramírez market in San Miguel de Allende.
Jorge Yáñez started the business with the support of his children and his wife, managing to position himself in the taste of San Miguel residents for his kindness and seasoning.
The chicken and beef Milanesa tortas are the specialty of the popular family business, which, in addition to delicious and abundant tortas, offers Milanesa, omelets, quesadillas, and Sincronizadas. The fresh fruit waters, prepared at the moment, accompany the food perfectly.
The small business, which is located just a few steps from the market, is highly frequented by locals and visitors, since, despite being in the downtown area, its prices are affordable and its dishes are very well served.
‘El Güero Yorch’ says that he likes everything about his job; Cooking and interacting with customers is part of his daily routine.
“The key is that you have to like what you do in order to provide good service,” says Jorge, who has clients who have been visiting and recommending him for decades.
