Alejandro Gertz Manero will continue to be the head of the FGR, confirms president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum
Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed on Monday, September 23, that Alejandro Gertz Manero will remain in charge of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic during her six-year term.
After meeting with the official, she dismissed rumors of his departure before the media and shared that the meeting was to raise the coordination of the Attorney General’s Office with other security agencies.
“The autonomy of the Attorney General’s Office is fundamental, but I have been raising the coordination and he agrees,” said the next president.
