President Claudia Sheinbaum received Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, in her offices at the National Palace on Tuesday.
“When I was head of government, Mexico City was recognized along with other cities in the world for the development of technology projects. The Digital Agency for Public Innovation, in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies, allowed, among other things, digital access to different procedures and services,” said Sheinbaum.
“This year we celebrate Bloomberg CityLab 2024, in which 500 mayors and innovation leaders from Mexico, the United States, and the world come to learn about what has been done in Mexico City. Today at the National Palace we welcomed Michael Bloomberg,” wrote Sheinbaum on her social media accounts.
Bloomberg was mayor of New York from 2002 to 2013, and in 2019 he unsuccessfully sought the presidential nomination for the Democratic Party.
