Access to higher education is a priority for the municipal government in San Miguel de Allende.
A clear example is the inauguration of the UNAM San Miguel de Allende Campus, an extension of the National School of Higher Studies that offers a new academic offering for young people in the region.
This project was managed since the first administration of Mayor Mauricio Trejo and was materialized in 2023, being one of the main demands of the San Miguel community.
In addition to the UNAM, scholarship programs and educational infrastructure in the region have been strengthened. In this way, the aim is to close educational gaps and increase opportunities for local young people.
