Mexico’s Lower House of Congress approves anti-nepotism reform and its entry into force by 2030.

On Tuesday, March 4, the Chamber of Representatives approved in general and in particular the reform that prohibits electoral nepotism and re-election to public office in our country.

The ruling was approved with the modification made by the Senate in which the entry into force of the reform is delayed from 2027, as proposed by Sheinbaum, until 2030.

During the session for approval in particular, 129 observations were presented, of which none were accepted, so the ruling was forwarded without changes to the local congresses.
