SMA LITERARY SALA Presents: Daniel Ellsberg (Distinguished Speaker Series)

Daniel Ellsberg is a warm and entertaining speaker who will present shocking information about U.S. nuclear policy. Famous for leaking the Pentagon Papers that helped end the Vietnam War, Ellsberg is now blowing the whistle about one of the two greatest threats to the future of the world: nuclear war (the other being global warming.) Don’t miss his spellbinding presentation and wry sense of humor!

His new book, The Doomsday Machine, is a major bestseller. “He is a vigorous writer with a gift for dramatic tension and the unfolding of events as they cascade toward disaster,” said Thomas Powers in the New York Review of Books. “Gripping and unnerving . . . A must-read of the highest order, Ellsberg’s profoundly awakening chronicle is essential to our future,” said Booklist.

Ellsberg will appear by satellite speaking to us from Berkeley, California and with live Q and A following his talk. His health precludes a visit to our altitude. His books will be for sale at the event.

Tickets are available online, at the door (subject to availability), and in person between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the new Boleto City ticket service located upstairs in Mercado Sano.
