“In this Mérida International Airport, we not only opened a route that connects us with the Bajío, but we also talked about a growth of 14.6 percent, above the global average seen in other airport terminals. Next year we will have two more new flights to Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, and Toronto, Canada; a symptom of the growth potential that Yucatán has. ” said the director of Aeropuertos Regionales del Sur (ASUR), Héctor Navarrete Muñoz.

He added that this flight not only connects Yucatan with Guanajuato through the city of León (Silao), but also with Querétaro, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, states part of the Bajío region that has developed the largest industrial corridor in Latin America, as well as linking the state with important markets like the Asian.
