San Miguel de Allende.- Starting this Tuesday, October 13, restaurants will be able to extend their working hours to receive their last orders at 11:30 pm; all businesses will have to be vacated and closed at midnight. Hotels will expand capacity to 75%, starting on Thursday, October 15th.
Currently, San Miguel de Allende is one of the municipalities with more than 200 thousand inhabitants with the least number of infections, active cases, and deaths from Covid-19 in the country.
In addition to sanitary measures, such as frequent hand washing, healthy distance, and the use of alcohol gel, diners must wear mouth cover or face mask when arriving and leaving the restaurant; Being inside the establishment it is also mandatory to wear the mask when getting up from the table to go to the bathroom.
Similarly, from Thursday, October 15, social events, weddings, or conventions will also be allowed until midnight.
In addition, hotels and restaurants will be able to increase their capacity to 75%, starting October 15th.
Likewise, it begins the process for the reactivation of Turibus (Tourist Tram) activities and balloon rides. It is necessary that, for its reactivation, the operators obtain the certifications “Primero la Salud” and “Guanajuato Sano” issued by the municipal and state governments, respectively.
For hot-air balloon rides, trips must be scheduled by reservation; the baskets may be occupied only at 50% of their capacity plus the captain, clearly indicating the number of people allowed and designated places.
