San Miguel de Allende.- Luis Alberto Villarreal started his campaign in search of the municipal presidency by assuring that he will give “the mother of all battles.” The start was in the first minutes of Monday, April 12th, in the Plaza Luciernaga.
‘It’s for love’, is the motto of his campaign, very similar to the one he used in 2018. At 00:25 hours the event started with about 200 people who gathered in the parking lot of the shopping center, in the upper part of the city.
Tribute to the deceased by coronavirus
The event began with a tribute to the people who have lost their lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic; they formed a heart on the pavement with white candles to commemorate them.
“Inspired by them and in their memory, we will have to overcome”, Villarreal said before some 200 of his supporters.
“We are like the eagle that flies high and against the wind. We are proudly the protagonists of the change that we are building every day. This is us and everything we do has only one reason: it is for love, ” he said.
After the speech, Luis Alberto placed stickers with the slogan of his campaign on two vehicles and on one of the walls of Plaza La Luciérnaga, with which he officially started the road to seek the municipal presidency of San Miguel once again.
