‘Grand International Bullfight’ is cancelled in San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende cancels the ‘Great International Bullfight’ due to lack of permits, generating uncertainty among organizers and the local community.

After the bullfighting poster ‘Great International Bullfight’ was announced on social networks, in which three renowned bullfighters would participate, the municipal government reported that said event will not take place.

The poster, displayed on different walls of the social network Facebook , announced the bullfight to be held in the Plaza de Toros Oriente in San Miguel de Allende, next Saturday of glory, March 30 at exactly 5 in the afternoon.

The participating bullfighters are Curro Diaz from Spain, Fermín Rivera, and Fermín Armillita IV, fighting 6 bulls from the Arroyo Zarco ranch. However, the municipal government reported through an official statement that, the bullfighting event in question, was suspended.

According to the statement, the event does not have the corresponding permits from the competent municipal authorities, therefore, the bullfight will not take place on the date specified.

It is worth mentioning that, so far, the organizers of this event known as ‘Grandiosa Corrida de Toros Internacional’ have not expressed any type of official position regarding the determination by the municipal authorities.
