Police authorities attacked, repressed, and hindered the San Miguel de Allende 2024 Pride March

The Colectivo Colores SMA accuses the police operation against them of not following the route that the Municipality of San Miguel de Allende gave them to march.

Despite having notified and requested support from the City Council more than a month in advance, the Colectivo Colores SMA and those attending the mobilization faced obstacles to carrying out the SMA 2024 Pride March that took place on Saturday, July 13.

Nora Garibaldi of Colectivo Colores SMA assured that although she presented a letter to the City Council to inform them about the march and request support with an electrical outlet and the loan of audio equipment, they did not obtain permission, which she considers was denied. because they did not accept the route that the Municipality proposed for the mobilization.

In addition to not having a permit, during the march there was an operation by police women who repressed and attacked members of the LGBT+ community, several groups from Guanajuato stated through a video broadcast on social networks.
