Foreign Minister Juan Ramón de la Fuente called on consuls, ambassadors, and ambassadors to project our country to the world, “in the context of a new government that is just beginning.”
“We have a process underway that has yielded results and will continue to yield results and there is no turning back,” he declared.
“Our work in the world is enriched by the perspective of Mexican humanism and an ethical and supportive sense of a government emanating from the people and committed to the people”, he said. He also stated that as representatives of Mexico abroad they must honor and respect the people.
“Project to the world our sovereignty, our dignity, especially that of all our fellow citizens who are abroad,” he said.
The head of the SRE pointed out that the work of the consuls and ambassadors “is fundamental to reaffirm before the world that ours is a sovereign country, a country committed to its development, but also with a more just, equitable international system capable of allowing us to live together in peace.”
He also called for strengthening alliances with countries and asked them to commit to making the human rights of women and girls a reality.
He emphasized that investments and new development projects must be attracted to our country.
“We are trustworthy before the world’s investors,” he declared.
