Nearly every day there are one if not two processions carrying the image of San Miguel Archangel to various churches and shrines throughout San Miguel de Allende, allowing the spirit of San Miguel to place his blessing on these locations along the city. During La Alborada you can find live musical performances and dancers in the streets and the main square of San Miguel. If your planning to attend the Alborada Fiesta in San Miguel de Allende in the future you may want to consider staying for the whole week beginning Sept. 26. The main portion of La Alborada Festival is on the weekend starting Friday afternoon. If you’re a jumpy soul then this might not be the festival for you. Fireworks can be heard nearly all day and every day on the weekend of La Alborada with even more fireworks at nighttime.
