During three days, the Americas Dental Congress took place in San Miguel de Allende for the first time, gathering 15 International Dental Federation members, specialists and professionals. On this occasion the municipality granted them a participation acknowledgment.
On behalf of Ricardo Villarreal García, Mayor of San Miguel de Allende, Gonzalo González, City Council Secretary, said: “we are so proud to be an attractive municipality to celebrate this kind of international meetings”.
The International Dental Federation (FDI) members from different countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil, Nicaragua, Argentina, Costa Rica, came together in this specialized congress.
This international meeting was headed by Alma Godinez Morales, President of the Mexican Dental Association (ADM).
Patrick Hescot, President of the International Dental Federation (FDI) and Katy Kell, Elected President of the International Dental Federation also attended this congress; as well as active members of the Federation of Latin American Dentistry (FOLA).
These professionals also serve as advisers to the World Health Organization (WHO) in this particular area.
In her speech, Alma Godinez announced that next year the congress will be held again in San Miguel de Allende.
The organizing committee is committed to carry out the best good dental practices and specialized on high-quality dental care. This federation currently has 198 subsidiaries around the world, including México.
