On the first day of activities in his official visit to Europe, the State Governor, Miguel Marquez Marquez, held a meeting with ministers of the Embassy of Mexico in Germany and visited the production plant of Volkswagen, where he witnessed the work done by the company at the Center for Training and the strengthening of the Dual Training Program applied in Guanajuato.
The purpose of the visit, said the Governor, accompanied by Christof Spathelf, Head of Unit Production Vehicle of VW, was to approach senior executives with the objective of positioning Guanajuato within the company’s expansion plans; as part of the growing demand for engines caused by the three new production lines VW has in North America.
The governor also visited the Vocational Training Centre of the VW Academy, where trainees study and learn, in order to enrich the dual training course that is currently taking place in the state of Guanajuato.
“For 6 years, Volkswagen and Guanajuato have cultivated a friendship that I’m sure will continue to consolidate over time; youth and labor force of Guanajuato have been able to meet the expectations of large companies located in our territory and go forward through various programs, to maintain education and training as a priority in the state, “Marquez Marquez concluded.
