World cultures will meet in Queretaro

Manuel Gomez Morin has presented the International Conference Queretaro 2016 that aims to integrate queretano citizens to the diverse foreign cultures of the state residents. This event is organized by the Coordination of International Relations and Government Innovation of the State in collaboration with the Educational and Cultural Center of the State of Queretaro.

A number of events will take place from July to December 2016. Foreign residents from Queretaro will share their culture through cuisine, crafts, workshops, artistic and historical activities.

These conferences will unite the different foreign communities in Queretaro, creating experiences and integrating them to the local culture.

The Educational and Cultural Center of the State of Queretaro (Centro Educativo y Cultural del Estado de Queretaro: CECEQ) will host the activities for three days once a month, where the representatives of each country will seek to offer their traditional foods and drinks, arts, crafts, souvenirs and other products.

Finally, with the purpose of sharing broader aspects of their culture, they will also carry out samples of film, music, dance and other workshops, that could be of interest for the entire population.

Ten countries have been invited, and will make there feature presentations from July to December 2016 according to the following schedule:

  • Syria, 22, 23 and 24 July.
  • Brazil, 5, 6 and 7 August.
  • Ecuador, Chile and Venezuela, 19, 20 and 21 August.
  • Netherlands, 29 and 30 October.
  • Ukraine 30, September, 1 and 2 October.
  • Austria, Nepal and Canada, on 19 and 20 November.
  • Russia, 2, 3 and 4 December.
