The state of Queretaro is ranked second as “generator of jobs” in the country, just below Quintana Roo, declared Francisco Dominguez Servién, Governor of Querétaro.

During the opening ceremony of the Technological University of San Juan del Rio (Universidad Tecnológica de San Juan del Río) new building, Domínguez declared that from January to August 2016, more than 35,000 direct jobs have been generated along the state.

“National and international firms are confident in Querétaro, that way, we have created 35,344 new jobs in the last eight months, resulting in 9,732 more jobs compared with the same period in 2015, which represents a 38 percent increase,” the governor stated.

Domínguez underlined that the key for climbing two steps more on the issue of job creation is the constant work of the state administration in order to strengthen what he called “the triple helix”: government, education and industry.

Regarding the inauguration of the new building, the governor said: “With an investment of 15 million pesos, this new facility shows the interest that exists to provide better conditions and opportunities to all students in the state of Querétaro.
