On Thursday, Sep. 8, a huge collision between two trailers provoked an enormous fire in the México-Querétaro highway, at kilometer 55, near “Huehuetoca”, State of México, heading to México City, causing the closure of this highway in both directions.
The accident occurred around 9:30 am, and the status of the truck drivers is still unknown at the moment, but it is much likely to presume they did not survive the accident.
Firefighters arrived to the scene, first of all, to identify what kind of substances or materials the vehicles were transporting. They are also trying to control the fire and reestablish the circulation on this important road.
The traffic jam in the area is currently really severe.
