Over 200 people danced and dined in a Parisian setting—in our own Parque Juarez, beneath elegantly draped tents—to support Casita Linda’s recent “Oh, La, La!” Spirit of Hope gala fundraiser, Oui, mon cheri, it was an elegant evening!
Mimes, mustachioed waiters and Moulin Rouge cancan dancers bolstered the theme, as did the live auction of vacation packages, including a Le Cordon Bleu themed trip to Paris.
Casita Linda exceeded their fundraising goals for the evening—donors bids from pure philanthropy raised over $24,000, enough to build three homes—and will construct their 100th home in early 2017, to be dedicated to 100 Women Who Care, who helped raise the funds for the 100th home.
San Miguel Community Foundation’s grant this year also built two homes. As Casita Linda President Louise Gilliam intoned at closing, “Thank you for your kindness and generosity!”
