CAMINARTE is a project that seeks to develop and promote Art & Culture in Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende, through a unique “outdoors gallery” concept, where plastic artists can exhibit and sell their work once a month.
This innovative initiative is intended to become a networking platform that could also serve other purposes such as promoting art among children and youth, and turning San Miguel and Queretaro into world-class cultural tourism destinations, attractive for both domestic and international visitors.
In every edition of CAMINARTE, attendees will be able to find a wide array of artistic forms of expression:
• Painting
• Photography
• Sculpture
• Illustration
• Engraving
• Oil painting
• Graphic Design
• Poetry
• Literature
• Music
• Gastronomy, Wine & Spirits
And more…
CAMINARTE features approximately 40 visual artists, recreational activities (painting workshops, madonnari, portrait painters, muralists, plays, storytelling, etc.)
Commercialization of art work is promoted, strategic alliances are sought with key stakeholders, art schools, media and gastronomic exhibitors. Cultural projects are encouraged in a healthy, educational and family oriented atmosphere.
Activities are so varied, that visitors can buy 100% original works of art, make special requests, witness the creative process of artists who are actually working onsite during the event, or even enjoy exquisite cuisine, live music or DJs.
CAMINARTE has ultimately positioned itself as an entertaining meeting place for residents and tourists, leaving a significant economic impact not only for exhibitors but also for the tourist industry businesses located around the downtown area in both SMA and Querétaro.
The next edition of CAMINARTE will take place on Friday November 25, from 4 to 9 pm at Hacienda La Laborcilla in Querétaro.
La Laborcilla is XVIII century hacienda totally restored and entirely remodeled in order to become one of the most exclusive restaurants in the city of Querétaro.
