Guanajuato high pollution advisory means no burning outdoors

During the signing of agreements to implement actions for air quality improvement, the director general of the Guanajuato’s Institute of Ecology, Juan Ángel Mejía Gómez, pointed out that these measures will serve to prevent and control high levels  of air pollution in the state.

The restrictions include a ban on burning outdoors, and the state goverment will promote the acquisition of infrastructure to prevent this activity.

Ricardo Villareal, Mayor of San Miguel Allende, urged to use green energy and promote environmental education.

This environmental agreement also contemplates vehicle verification to prevent environmental pollution, all cars that pass this verification in Guanajuato will be recognized with a hologram, that will allow them to circulate in Mexico City.

Miguel Angel Mancera, Head of Mexico City Government, recognized the willingness of the Guanajuato state administration to cooperate, and ensures that this joint effort will bear results soon.
