Toyota attracts 100 Japanese supplying companies to Guanajuato

“Toyota not only keeps up with its plans to continue and start new operations in Mexico, but it will also attract around 100 Japanese suppliers”, said Tadashi Minemura, Director of the Japan Foreign Trade Organization (JITRO).

These “tier 2 and 3” suppliers will be installed in the Bajío region in order to attend the requirements of the Toyota automotive plant.

During the event organized by the Mexican Council of Foreign Trade Northeast, the director of Jetro said that despite the uncertainty which Mexico lives, Japanese investors will continue working on the industrial and service sectors.

In the case of the airline All Nippon Airways (ANA), they have signed an interline agreement with Interjet. Therefore, all passengers flying in from Tokyo will able to land at Mexico City International Airport and connect to other destinations within the country with a single ticket, starting Wednesday, February 15, 2107.
