The remains of a mutilated person with evident signs of violence were located inside black plastic bags in San Miguel’s Ignacio Ramírez subdivision.

The discovery was reported on Tuesday, January 23, in the area known as the old road to Querétaro, near the municipal baseball stadium.

Municipal police officers confirmed the citizen report that alerted about the suspicious plastic bags in the middle of the street.

It was specifically on Las Américas Avenue, where municipal police cordoned off the area due to investigations by the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guanajuato.

Personnel from the Specialized Homicide Investigation Unit carried out their work and subsequently the remains were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service.

The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

Likewise, there is no further information about the alleged perpetrators involved in this incident, whose custody was also in charge of the National Guard.
