According to am.com.mx, on Wednesday February 22, at 8:15 a.m, Guanajuato’s State Secretary of Tourism, Fernando Olivera Rocha, was involved in a car accident on the highway to “La Sauceda”, on the intersection with the road to “La Trinidad”.
Firefighters, State Police officers and personnel of the Red Cross immediately arrived to the scene of the accident.
The State Secretary of Tourism was taken to the General Hospital of Guanajuato to receive the proper medical attention.
According to a Tourism Secretariat spokesperson, Mr. Olivera Rocha was being evaluated medically to be transferred to León, but around 10 a.m. this medical institution informed that the State Tourism Secretary was in good health, and it was not necessary to transfer him.
According to his agenda, Olivera Rocha was on his way to attend a public event at the “Tourist Attention Center” (Centro de Atención al Turista), located on Libramiento José Maria Zavala # 100, in San Miguel de Allende at 11 am; where he would be presiding a ceremony along with governor Miguel Marquez.
State Secretary of Tourism Fernando Olivera Rocha was reported in good health and he personally declared he was OK and thanked all the people that asked about his condition through his Twitter account.
