Mérida and Querétaro are joining forces to boost the tourism sector in both cities, through offering new and traditional regional products and the most exclusive hotels of the southern region of México,. The two cities laid out plans during a breakfast that took place in the city of Querétaro on Wednesday March 22nd.

Lourdes Mora Anaya, Director of the department of Attention and Tourist Information of Querétaro’s Secretariat of Tourism; Carolina Cárdenas, head of Mérida’s Directorate of Tourism; Esther Carboney, head of Querétaro’s Office of Tourism and International Affairs, leaders of the Association of Hotels and several entrepreneurs of both states attended the event.

The attendees to this event could taste a Yucatecan breakfast, scrambled eggs with chaya, and enjoy Trova music.

It should be noted that Mérida was named for the second time as the American Capital of Culture, which is why it seeks to attract more tourists from the center of the country.
