Caminos de Agua is offering a Sustainable Technologies in Action conference to build enduring communities July 20 – 31 to ogive participants tools to analyze real life problems and propose sustainable solutions in water access, energy, organic farming, natural building, etc. In addition, Biochar and Slow-Sand Biofiltration for Potable Water August 1 – 3. In addition, a Biodigesters and Sustainable Community Practices August 2 – 6 with an indigenous community in the Yucatan. San Miguel Literary Sala is inviting submissions for Solamente en San Miguel, Volume III. If you have a previously unpublished, 3,000-word, funny or touching story, memoir, essay or poem about how living her has changed your life or provided you with unique advice for visitors, submit by July 1 in English or Spanish in .doc, .docx, .odt, or .pdf formats. Fees are $20 USD per three or fewer submissions in English, $2 USD for same in Spanish, and must accompany the manuscript(s) online at SanMigueliterarySala.submittable.com/submit. Do not include the author’s name anywhere on the work. Each submission must be uploaded separately.
