Google and Facebook donate one million dollars each for earthquake victims

Facebook and Google made an official announcement stating that each one of these companies will donate one million dollars for the September 19th earthquake in Mexico, the resources will be used to aid the victims and for the reconstruction of the most affected areas of the city after the 7.1 tremor in México.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook co-founder, and Sundar Pichai, Google CEO published on their social network platforms that will be making these donations on Thursday September 21, and they reiterated their solidarity with the people of Mexico after the tragic events.


Zuckerberg stated that Facebook´s donation is being made through the Mexican Red Cross, and he also announced that his company is officially joining the UNICEF initiative to resign to any fees corresponding to these donations.
