Amigos del Arte San Miguel A.C, arose as a citizen’s initiative to help and support children, teenagers and adults from the most deprived communities in the state of Guanajuato, with the mission to provide education through art and expand their own perception of the world.

They started in 2016 giving lessons to children in the community of “Los Torres”. Nowadays they are working on the activation of another community classroom in the rural area of Banda, which will be provided with computers and Internet connection. Banda is small village located within the San Miguel de Allende municipality.

Amigos del Arte San Miguel A.C, is currently inviting teachers to participate whether virtually or in-person, to join them in this effort to increase the community’s knowledge interests.

If you woild like to be part of this great adventure, you can teach from home through Facebook Live or you can come to give lessons if you live in San Miguel, or you can even contribute with your donations which can be of significant help for this vulnerable sector of society.

One of the main goals of this project is to make society aware of the precarious situation in which these people live and invite everybody to support this cause in different ways. When we put our time and effort in favor of these children, teenagers and adults, the fact is, you are not giving but you are receiving.

Join Amigos del Arte San Miguel AC in this fantastic project of reconnecting with the rural communities near San Miguel, they are looking forward to hear from you!

You can find them in Facebook as Amigos del Arte San Miguel AC or you can contact María Rodríguez Cáceres via inbox for more information.
