Guanajuato has contracted more than 21 billion pesos contracted in public works during the present administration

State authorities declared that the Ministry of Public Works of Guanajuato already exceeded 21 billion pesos in contracting works.

In a statement, the Secretary of Public Works, José Arturo Durán Miranda, said that the investment made in public works during 2017 allows the state to exceed 21 billion pesos with more than 2,800 projects so far the current administration.

The state secretary also said that during December 2017, 135 contracts were signed for 1.1 billion pesos, that will allow the construction of works such as the second stage of the Nopal Tourist Parador, in Salamanca, the construction of the cycle path on the El Maguey Boulevard in San Francisco del Rincón, the restoration of the Parish of San Juan Bautista in Victoria and the Parish of San Francisco de Asís in Xichú.

Also in December, he explained, the expansion to four lanes of the Leon-Silao Metropolitan Area was contracted in the section that goes from Guanajuato Puerto Interior to the Silao-San Felipe state highway, and that the construction works will begin in the first weeks of this year.

He also recalled that as part of the works contracted in the last month of the year is also the rehabilitation of the Casa Europa in San Miguel de Allende as an integral project.

 

The restoration and reconstruction of the Centers of Integral Attention of Essential Services in Health (Centros de Atención Integral de Servicios Esenciales en Salud: CAISES) in Villagrán, Jerécuaro and Apaseo el Grande, among others.

 

 

Durán Miranda concluded that more than 95 percent of the work contracted in these five and a half years were assigned to Guanajuato companies, which favors the generation of jobs and the local economy.
