Rain continues in the 46 municipalities of the state of Guanajuato. The strongest rainfall has been recorded in the municipalities of León, Ocampo, Pénjamo, Abasolo, Celaya, Salvatierra and Silao.
In this last municipality, the rains registered during the early morning hours affected at least 100 homes, where the water penetrated to a height of 30 centimeters. The affected colonies are Acapulquito, La Joya, La Curva and El Faro.
5 days ago, after an intense rain in Guanajuato, the water level of the Presa de la Olla rose to its maximum levels, causing it to overflow and flood the streets of the city. La Presa de la Olla is 48 miles west of SMA, right next to Silao.
The roads were severely affected because the torrents of water reached not only pedestrian zones, but also reached the underground tunnels and spaces in this colonial city, making traffic difficult.
