AMLO presents National Tourism Plan

On Feb. 24, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador visited the state capital of Quintana Roo, Chetumal, where he was received by thousands of citizens who took the opportunity to express their appreciation and sympathy for their president.

AMLO arrived at the International Center of Business and Conventions of Chetumal, and in the presence of several members of his Cabinet, the president officially presented the National Tourism Plan.

In the precinct, businessmen and politicians like Dario Flota, director of the Tourism Promotion Trust of the Riviera Maya, stated that they have great expectations on the National Tourism Strategy 2019-2024.

The topics discussed by businessmen and representatives of State Tourism, prior to the presentation of the National Tourism Strategy, are the tourism promotion of  southeast Mexico, licenses and permits for the operation of new tourism businesses.

Regarding the installation of the Tourism Secretariat in Chetumal, Juan José Fernández Carrillo, national president of the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels, commented.

“It’s a good start, we are three months into the administration and it is a good idea to position the Tourism Secretariat here in Chetumal,” concluded Juan José Fernández Carrillo, national president of the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels.
