Opening at the Whitney in February 2020: An unprecedented gathering of nearly 200 works by sixty American and Mexican artists testifies to the transformative impact of Mexican artists on their American contemporaries.
A landmark exhibition, Vida Americana: Mexican Muralists Remake American Art, 1925–1945 focuses on the influence of Mexico’s three leading muralists—José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, and David Alfaro Siqueiros, all of whom came to work in the US during this period—on the style, substance, and direction of art in the United States.
Vida Americana: Mexican Muralists Remake American Art, 1925–1945 opens February 17 through May 17, 2020. Tickets go on sale Dec. 12.
